Common Mobility cards will be issued by January end

Here is good news for those who travel in Metro, city buses and MMTS. Many efforts are made to introduce a Common Mobility Card (CMC) to travel in city buses, MMTS and Metro Train services as a pilot project by January end.

The Transport, Road and building principal Secretary, Sunil Sharma and Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) managing director NVS Reddy studied the status of implementation of common mobility card (CMC) in twin cities.

In a meeting, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) MD appealed to the officials to fast-track the process and launch a pilot project by the end of January 2019 at least in 2 metro stations, 100 RTC buses and 50 autos near the metro catchment areas.

L&T Metro COO Anil Saini gave a brief status of implementation of CMC card by SBI/Hitachi group. Sunil Sharma advised TSRTC Executive Director Purushotam Naik to finalise the modalities with SBI early in a week.
