Hyderabad Metro breaks records with 2.55 lakh passengers

The overall passengers of Hyderabad Metro Rail commencement of the services till Hitech City has increased from 2.30 lakh per day to 2.55 lakh plus passengers travelling on Ameerpet – Hitech City route which were launched on March 20 this year. The paid passengers were 2.55 lakh and the total footfall was recorded were 2.71 lakh, said metro officials. The entry and exit at the Ameerpet and Hitech City stations has recorded a total of 32,000 commuters and from LB Nagar station it is recorded 30,000 commuters. The HMRL officials expect the aid to be increased in further as Secunderabad and Parade Ground stations that are recording an increase in footfall. The HMRL carries an average of 2.50 lakh commuters daily and currently operates for 56 kms of the metro rail connectivity in the city.
