Hyderabad police to investigate Jayaram murder case

The Hyderabad city police have received a case of alleged murder of NRI industrialist Chigurupathi Jayaram, the police is now taken up the murder case and further investigations.

The city police commissioner Anjani Kumar said, “The case and other documents is received and the investigation will be taken up by the Banjara Hills police. The registration and further investigation will be taken up based on the technical and material evidences of the case.”

 Wife of Jayaram, Padmasree has approached Jubilee Hills police and lodged a complaint.  “Padmasree has already given a complaint and made a statement that she has full faith on Telangana police. We will make sure that we take the responsibility and do our best of the ability and will ensure that the case is investigated as soon as possible and the accused are arrested,” said Anjani Kumar.

In a petition by Padmasree, she said a few more people are involved in the murder case. She accused her relatives Shikha Choudhary of being involved in the case. Shikha Choudhary,  Jayaram’s niece,  had trespassed into their house and took away few documents.

Jayaram was found dead in his car at Nandigama of Krishna district on January 31. He was the director of Coastal Bank and shareholder in few pharmaceutical companies. He was also associated with a famous news channel.

The Nandigama police arrested Rakesh Reddy and his driver Srinivas for their alleged involvement in the case. The AP police, first investigated the case, said the suspects have confessed to having committed the murder in a house on Road No 10 at Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. 

Shikha Choudhary denied her involvement in the murder of Jayaram. Speaking to a news channel, she said Jayaram called her on January 30 and asked her to arrange Rs 1 crore as he had to repay someone.
