Few parts of Hyderabad city witnessed light rainfall on Thursday night. It brought a relief to a warm weather with mercury decreasing five to six degrees Celsius in the past few days.
The Telangana state development planning society said the areas such as Banjara Hills, BHEL factory in Serilingampally, Madhapur, Pashamylaram, Madhapur, Gachibowli, Balanagar, Patancheruvu, Kandi and other few areas of Hyderabad witnessed light to moderate rainfall.
Rains in the city brought down the temperature to normal at 28.7 degree Celsius. Whereas, the minimum temperature was recorded to 19.8 degrees Celsius, which was five degrees Celsius above the normal temperature.
The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) issued a report about the weather, “It is likely to intensify the deep depression in the next 12 hours and in the cyclone storm during the subsequent 24 hours. It is likely to move towards Andhra Pradesh and adjoining north Tamil Nadu coasts in the next 72 hours.”
They also forecast that light to heavy rains or thunder shower likely to occur at few places across Telangana on December 16 and December 17. The cloudy skies too could add to the weather this weekend. In the last few days the city has seen a blanket of clouds over it; according to IMD the upper cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Karnataka and other neighbouring states is extended up to 0.9 Km above the sea level.
On Thursday evening, the IMD has recorded maximum temperature of 28.5 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature of 19.8 degree Celsius. In the next two days the temperature will witness minimum temperatures around 30 and 20 degrees Celsius. The weekend in the city is to witness cloudy weather conditions.
The IMD said, there is a possibility of a party cloudy sky with haze. The cloudy weather is prevailed for the last few days which brought down the day temperature as well.
