The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has called for the state wide bandh in Telangana on May 2 to protest the state government’s attitude on the intermediate results. The party has planned a series of protests after its state president K Laxman who under took an indefinite fast was forcibly shifted to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in the city. The BJP will lay siege to the camp office “Pragathi Bhavan” to launch the protests in all the towns and districts and the rally in secunderabad. On May 1 the rallies will be taken out b the BJP Kishan Morcha, Yuva morcha and allied bodies in the state. This will be followed by a state bandh on May 2.
